Can you resurface over existing tarmac or concrete?
In most cases, yes. If the existing surface is structurally sound without major cracking or subsidence, we can apply resin bound directly on top. We check everything during your free survey.
How long does driveway resurfacing take?
A straightforward overlay onto an existing base is typically completed in 1 day. If groundwork or repairs are needed, allow 2–3 days. We confirm the timeline in your quote.
Is resurfacing cheaper than a full replacement?
Significantly. Overlaying avoids excavation and skip hire costs, so it’s usually 30–50% less than a full dig-and-relay. We’ll tell you honestly during the survey whether an overlay is suitable.
What condition does my driveway need to be in?
The base must be stable with no significant movement or crumbling. Hairline cracks and minor surface wear are fine. If the base has failed, we’ll recommend full groundwork rather than patching over problems.
Will the resin overlay crack like my old surface?
Resin bound has slight flexibility, so hairline settlement won’t cause issues. Combined with a solid base assessment and proper preparation, cracking is extremely rare on our installations.
